We mounted a tiny wireless CMOS camera onto the robo car we already made in the previous news. The camera was again obtained from Spark Fun ($49.95). The video image from the receiver unit is a standard NTSC, which can be captured by a TV board of a computer. The cam runs on a 9V battery as shown in the piture.

So, our pocket money could afford again! This versatile robo can still be used as a digital thermometer or personal ECG by an onboard switch or a computer command.

It was fun to drive the robo car by looking at a computer display and using a keyboard. A little bit of practice was necessary, which reminded Mars Pathfinder. After practice, the robo car could go into tiny space where we can't enter. Oh, we wished that if the robo were to have an arm and hand. Then, we could use it to fetch small things.

Making it bigger would be all the better. We can have inexpensive robot wheelchairs or helper nurses that come to us and measure our body temperature or heartbeat.
